BB avoided heatstroke (always a hazard with fur) on Saturday morning when he has delighted to attend the launch of Draw Me A Story at the Plymouth City Museum and Art Gallery.
Celebrating all forms of illustration for children, the exhibition features original work from world renowned artists such as Jan Pienkowski and Antony Browne as well as animated films, comics and of course lots of our best ever picture books.
South West talent is also well represented across the generations from the legendary David “Mr Benn” McKee and Simon ‘Baby Brains’ James up to Levi Penfold who was recently announced as as one of the ten rising starts in Booktrust’s Best New Illustrators award.
There’s lots of activities, events and competitions for all the family during the show’s run.
Be sure to join Caroline from the Central Library for an extra fortnightly Tuesday rhymetime in the gallery on Tuesday 10 May, 24 May, 7 June, 21 June, 5 July and 19 July from 11am to 11.30am.
