Book review – What will you be, Grandma? by Nanette Newman (Illustrated by Emma Chichester Clark)

Little Lily is full of ideas about what her Grandma could be when she grows up, imagining very creative roles for her during the course of the day!

This book has a lovely feelgood factor.  Written in response to a real grand-daughter’s question, it is a foray into a child’s imagination, detailing all the things Lily thinks the world needs, as well as affirming that special grandparent/grandchild bond.  Lily only imagines the very best for her Grandma.

The expressions on the children’s faces develop understanding of the text and empathy.
