Who will help me plant this grain of wheat?” asked Little Red Hen.
“Not I,” said the Pig.
“Not I,” said the Cow.
“Not I,” said the Little Blue Bear
“Fair enough,” said Little Red Hen, “I’ll do it myself!”
Making bread is hard work, but it would be a lot easier if the lazy animals got off their reclining sofas and lent a hand. Now this timeless folktale is re-told by the unswervingly energetic Stuff and Nonsense Company at the Drum Theatre Plymouth from December 2-21. The show fuses enchanting puppetry, fabulous story-telling and live music to delight the whole family, and is suitable for ages 3 and up with no scary bits whatsoever and lots and lots of laughter.
Hand your entries in at your library or post them to me: Bookstart Bear at the Central Library, Drake Circus, Plymouth, PL4 8AL by Monday 8 December. Good Luck!
